Terms of use
These terms cover the Ocadox apps for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, Ocadox Pro, and this website. By installing or using Ocadox you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Ocadox.
Last updated October 13, 2026.
In short: use Ocadox for anything lawful. Pro is a one-time purchase for you, on up to 3 of your computers. AI can be wrong and the agent can change files, so review what it does and keep backups. You're responsible for what you create and post with it, including voices and posts made by your bots. Ocadox comes as it is, and our liability is limited to what you paid.
1. Who we are
Ocadox is made by Kenneth York ("we", "us"), in Georgia, USA. You can reach us at kenneth.york@kennethyork.com.
2. Your licence to use Ocadox
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Ocadox under these terms. Ocadox is licensed, not sold; we keep all rights in it that these terms don't give you. The open-source components inside it remain under their own licences, listed on the licences page, and nothing here limits your rights under them.
- The free version may be used by anyone, for personal or commercial work, on any number of computers.
- Ocadox Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro features for one person, on up to 3 computers at a time. The Ocadox Android app doesn't count toward the 3. You can move a licence by deactivating it on one computer and activating it on another. A business that wants Pro for several people needs one licence per person.
- The free trial unlocks Pro for 7 days, once per computer.
- "Lifetime" means Pro stays unlocked in the versions you have, and in the updates we release, for as long as we offer Ocadox. It does not promise any particular future feature.
3. What you may not do
- Share, sell or publish a licence key, or use one on more than 3 computers.
- Remove, bypass or disable the licence check or the Pro limits (such as the Poster's monthly limits).
- Resell, rent or redistribute Ocadox Pro, or a modified copy of Ocadox, as your own product.
- Reverse engineer Ocadox, except where the law allows it despite this limit.
- Use Ocadox in breach of the acceptable use rules in section 6.
4. Buying Pro, and refunds
Ocadox Pro is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt and licence key. Gumroad's own terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown before you pay and may change for future buyers.
You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying, no questions asked; see Refunds. A refunded or disputed purchase deactivates its licence key, and Ocadox goes back to the free version.
5. Your work, and what AI makes
- Your content is yours. Your prompts, files and chats stay on your computer (see Privacy). We claim no rights in them or in what Ocadox makes for you. Whether AI-made material can be owned or copyrighted depends on the law where you are.
- AI can be wrong. Models, including the ones Ocadox downloads, can produce inaccurate, incomplete, offensive or infringing output, and output similar to other people's, including music that resembles existing songs. Check it before you rely on it, publish it or run it. Don't use Ocadox as your only source for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
- The agent acts on your computer. When you give it a folder, it can read, create, change and delete files, and run commands, within the permissions you set. Ocadox asks before risky actions unless you tell it not to, and keeps checkpoints, but it can still make mistakes. Use version control and keep backups; you are responsible for what you let it do.
- Hardware controls are best effort. Fan guard, power caps, CPU mode and the temperature limits aim to keep your computer quiet and cool, but they depend on your hardware, drivers and operating system. They don't replace your computer's own protections, and we can't guarantee them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Ocadox to:
- Break any law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Make sexual content involving minors, or sexual or intimate images of a real person without their consent.
- Copy a voice that isn't yours without that person's permission, or use any voice, image or video made with Ocadox to impersonate, deceive or defraud someone, or to pass it off as real when it isn't.
- Record a meeting, call or person without the consent the law requires where you and they are (some places require everyone's consent), or use their likeness for an AI character without their permission.
- Dub, cut into Shorts, edit or repost video, audio or music you don't have the rights to use, or remove the AI label from content in a way that misleads people where a platform or law requires labelling.
- Harass, threaten or harm people, spread malware, or attack or break into systems you aren't authorised to test.
- Spam through the Poster or bots: send unsolicited bulk messages, run fake engagement, or break the rules of the platforms you post to. Each platform's terms (for example X's and Reddit's rules on automated posting) apply to your accounts, and you are responsible for every post, including posts your bots make on their own when you allow it.
- Break the licence or use policy of a model you run with Ocadox.
7. Other people's services and models
Ocadox works with things we don't run: Ollama and the models you download through it; the image, video and speech models and engines it downloads from Hugging Face and GitHub; social platforms you connect to the Poster; cloud AI providers whose keys you add, and Claude Code or Codex if you use your own (their terms, including any limits on how your plan may be used, apply to you); Google Play services on Android; and web pages and MCP servers you use, and the agents you add Ocadox to. Each has its own terms, licences, prices and limits, which you agree to with them. We aren't responsible for them, and they can change or stop working. Charges from a provider whose key you add (such as OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter) are between you and that provider.
8. Updates and changes
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, and Ocadox can check for and install them. We try to keep Ocadox working but don't promise to keep any feature, platform or integration, or to keep offering Ocadox forever. If we stop offering it, the copy you have keeps working as it is.
9. Privacy
The Ocadox app has no accounts and no analytics. What it keeps and when it goes online is in the Privacy policy.
10. No warranty
OCADOX IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT OCADOX OR ANYTHING IT PRODUCES WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT IT WON'T AFFECT YOUR FILES, ACCOUNTS OR HARDWARE.
11. Limits on our liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, FILES, PROFITS, REVENUE, ACCOUNTS OR GOODWILL, OR FOR HARDWARE DAMAGE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO OCADOX, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO OCADOX IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR OCADOX IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR US$50.
12. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you made, posted or published with Ocadox, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
13. Ending this agreement
You can stop using Ocadox at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing licence keys or bypassing the licence check, we may deactivate your Pro licence. Sections 5 and 10 to 16 continue after this agreement ends.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to sort it out within 30 days.
15. Your rights where you live
Some places don't allow some of the limits above, or give consumers rights that can't be waived, for example in the European Union and the United Kingdom. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights; where a limit isn't allowed, it applies only as far as the law permits. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and will change the date above when we do. Significant changes will be mentioned in What's new. Using Ocadox after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms, with the Privacy policy and the Refunds page, are the whole agreement between you and us about Ocadox.
